what oil

hi guys back in the fold with a 123d convertible, on 65000 miles,
going to do a oil change as a precaution as not had a change in a while
bmw recommend 0w30w but thinking 5w30 might be better, any advice opinions?? cheers

cheers its a 2010 e88 seems either 0w30 or 5w30 are ok

As long as it meets BMW LL04 spec.

It is not a problem if you just use the right spec..

LL-04 spec is not as critically tested as VW tests for their oil spec.

If you want 5w30 use spec 507.00 of VW.

LL04, consider using slightly more viscous oil because they run hot, and change it more frequently than your computer suggests to reduce the likelihood of chain failure.

cheers got some millers oil ll04 5w30 in the end, intend to change every 12 months
