123d vacuum reservoir tank

Post by ttassie15 » Wed Sep 19, 2018 7:36 pm

Hi,
Fitting my new strut brace this evening (thanks sonicvanman) and noticed a vacuum hose had snapped off the reservoir tank. Haven’t driven it yet, how will this affect how the car drives, and is it safe to do so??

Any help appreciated,
Cheers!

Ah, crap.

How do the brakes feel? Are you getting errors on the dash?

No errors on the dash, and no codes on Carly coming up.
Brakes work just fine, the turbos feel non-existent though! Can’t even hear them spooling up?
Car also sounds awful, possibly to do with no turbos?

It will be the vacuum feed to your actuators then. Can you patch it up carefully with some Araldite?

That looks like what the previous owner may have done! Fixed it with an old biro Image
Thanks!

From that pic I reckon it could be a Wiechers, they used to be good value on eBay.de (before Brexit anyway).

Wiechers would be correct! A member was selling it so snapped it up quick straight forward to fit too, the plates need a little trimming though if you’ve done the camber pin mod

hi if the pipe is pulling in air your actuator wont open therefore no turbo. 😣
