Here is mine. 25117542200
Comparaison with stock :

Image

Image

Dimensions Ball-shift arm / ball-knob

Oem 125i E82
3,5 cm / 20,5 cm
ratio 5,86

Performance
5 cm / 21,5 cm
ratio 4,3

=> 27% shorter

The feeling is a little firmer in normal driving, but much better in sports driving, especially with the CDV removal.

Hmmm, well, it would seem that the place I ordered the second shifter from not only hasn’t sent the item but is now not returning my emails for an explanation.

I bought with PayPal so will get a refund, my problem is now I can’t find a place that actually sells this shifter, other than I spoke to Cotswolds but they only sell the kit which is double the price.

Not sure what to do now.

Ok, third time lucky.

Cancelled second shifter and got refunded, it’s funny how they replied within 10 minutes of me raising a Paypal case!!!

Anyway, now buying another one, big thanks to Josephx for finding me this one.

Short shifter has arrived. Haven’t opened it yet as I had a read of how to fit this and I’m a little concerned I’ll put it in upside down or something lol

viewtopic.php?t=30328

Not feeling confident at the moment I’ll do this easily but will attack it ASAP

Don’t worry it’s easy. Just a make a note (or take a pic) if the orientation of the lever you are taking out - the new one has the same type of bends.
If you look at my pic on page 2 of this thread you can just make out an F (for forward) in black that I marked on the original levers before removing them.

Just don't drop the circ clip if you do it from the cabin! It can easily get stuck on the heat shield for the gear box. If you haven't got a ramp its easier to just order a new one.

I dropped the new one and had to reuse the old one!

It’s a fiddly little bugger to fit back on!

I found it 1000000 times easier to do it from beneath.

I wasted a lot of time, and unnecessarily cut my hand trying to do it through the top

Just enquired at Cotswold for the short shift and gear knob / gaiter. £125 is an absolute bargain. Hope they're still knocking them out at that price. I don't even mind a wait! :D

Be good to hear what their price is.
Whole kit inc the silver gearknob is £125
Cotswolds got back in touch with me but say they can't provide a quote if it doesn't officially fit my 125i and I need to provide the pt number for the whole ssk. Do you have the pt number please as I want the whole kit Inc the stick / gaiter etc.
