Especially for horrendous customer service and substandard work.

Sandal Huddersfield just to be clear. There is a set labour fee in the Wakefield branch but you can negotiate to get a cheaper rate. Mine was £35 per hour on my last bit of work with them

I managed to get a cheaper rate at Huddersfield too - they reduced the hourly rate to £80 per hour for the Hydro unit replacement.

Nice job guys, worth knowing. I rang them today for a price on a service, which they wouldnt give me. I asked them if it was true that their labour rate was £100 an hour, they said it wasnt, it was £118 plus VAT and had been for some time. I used the BMW site to ask BMW what would be the cost of the next service, they rang back with answer £501 plus VAT.

118D, nothing special, and it was the service dictated using the OBC.

I dont know but assume that it is also before any required parts other than oil and filters.

A heads up on West Yorkshire BMW garage Peter Van der Veer:

http://www.independentminispecialisthuddersfield.co.uk/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The work is excellent, service is perfect and prices are low.

The dealer is based in Marsden, an attractive tourist trail town, in West Yorkshire, half way between Manchester and Leeds with good rail links.

In place of spending £140 an hour main dealer labour rates you could come up to West Yorkshire for a major service, enjoy an overnight stay and still be better off.

Hi, new to the forum so apologies if this is in the wrong thread (great advice re the other dealers that are recommended, got my car from a sandal Hudds and they were terrible at customer service, so nothing has changed FYI!) but I came across this old thread whilst searching for coding information in the Huddersfield area; I’m considering buying a Carly for BMW OBD WiFi port and their paid app to change a few settings in my 4 series. Is there anyone local that has any info/experience with these units or coding in general? Any advice appreciated. Thanks, Adam.

Does it have to be a dealer ? If not try http://www.bmservicing.com/. They can service without invalidating the warranty, if you still have one. Only heard positive feedback about them and where I'll be taking the 130i when it need a service.
