All very competently carried out by a Dutch man in Marsden, West Yorks :D
Next time you see him, tell him Barrie says "Hi, and how's my quote coming along". :)
 Think I'll keep out of that one if you don't mind

I've always found him great to deal with + so is his work on my car that's why I am happy to go there

Plus its a nice drive over the moors from where I live and there's a great little cafe in Marsden which makes for a good waiting area

A towbar on a 1 series?

My handbook specifically says that this model is not suitable for towing anything.

It's not a power thing, something to do with the design of the rear of the car.

You had better check with your insurers to make sure...

Lol insurers here in SA don’t really mind out that.

Bought a professional head-unit & some lci rear taillights to fit to my 130 today. They should arrive tomorrow & I purchased them for the grand sum of £118.

Cheap!

Only annoying thing is the climate control won’t have the silver trim around the switches like the radio will...might have to source a climate control switch from a facelift model...

Hopefully get those fitted tomorrow!

Recently done the same thing minus the lights and like you face the same situation re the climate control panel! If you come across one I think there's a ' how to ' in the relevant section.

Removed the Whiteline rear subframe inserts, as I was tired of the extra NVH.

If I am honest I prefer just the black dials!

Not sure whether to swap the Professional HU dials with black ones...rather than changing the climate control panel.

Fitted the Pro HU anyway - was a bit of a pain in the arse tbh, my aerial was a right b**tard to remove. Got there in the end though.

Rear lights will be fitted at some point following this guide.

Well, after the whistle that started in November, the turbo finally decided to let go on the M25/M20 junciton on Tuesday.

Stripped it off on Saturday, would have been a quick job but the exhaust was not up for coming off with ease :censored: :censored: :censored:
All the play in the world in the turbo :)
Stripped down and now pondering how to get the VNT mech off so I can then happily buy a core to rebuild it all with as opposed to a "ful;l" refurb unit
