130i LE. Changed the diff and gearbox oil the other week, CDV delete at the same time. Performance filter element installed in the standard air box. Not long before that new Vanos solenoids.
Treat it to a brand new set of style 216 wheels, wheel bolts and centre caps. GY eagle F1 non rf; 225/40/18 front, 255/35/18 rear.
~£30 of bolts and fasteners replaced under the bonnet and gave it a quick detail. It needs a proper going over but it’ll have to wait until it’s not chucking it down and there’s still a few rusty fasteners I forgot to order.

Today; Performance shift knob, steering wheel trim, handbrake lever and gaiter. Ordered a performance gear gaiter from an e90. Hopefully going to take the alcantara off the frame and stick it on to mine as the e8x gaiter is unavailable now. Received the engine oil and filter from Opie for its 6000 miles change.
Cleaned and conditioned the steering wheel.
Edit: spent 30 minutes reading back through this thread finding new ways to spend money on things I want. (Need?)

Changed the wipers. Old ones were squeaking like crazy.

130i, I changed the little white shift lever bearing today, for £9 it has made a good difference to the gear changes, still got the M3 mounts, CDV mod and gearbox oil change to do but doing each bit at a time to compare the difference each bit makes.

Not today, but the past week

New turbo core fitted, turbo assembly fitted, turbo primed, all rebuilt.
Scariest restart of a car ever.
Still made a damn racket
Sit and pondered life lots...
Saturday I took the turbo out to check it was ok, it is thankfully.

I then decided to hunt this sodding boost leak down with gusto.
I took the intercooler out, both boost hoses and the EGR valve off, and built this
Image

Now, MDF can only take 20PSI on its surface before it leaks out to the sides  Added a bit of palstic and all was well enough to get the system to 35psi and saw this

Cant tell you how happy I am to see a leak!!!!! new seal on order, rig kept in tact so that the new one can be tested prior to install.

I gave the EGR valve a clean up as it had been playing up ever since I brought the car. YouTube videos imply it’s a 10 minute job to remove, it took nearly 90!
Any improvement?
It’s been 3 weeks, and it’s not played up once, so I’d consider that a win!
