Good advice people, and thanks for all your input.

I am going to wait for a break in the weather, detail her, and then take the best photographs I can with my friend's camera and then advertise on here.

I have taken off the POA on AnyM and Classic Cars websites, as yes I was thinking this is annoying for any buyer!

I am following my gut and also making sure that I price fairly. As you say, it can always be adjusted.

Expect some pictures and an advert in the early new year.

:)
Good for you

Look forward to seeing the advert

Looking for a 130i or 123d, must be a 5 door with under 80k miles for under £5500...
Hi Scorp

Give me another £5000 and you can have mine! It has half the mileage... :)

Cheers and good luck car hunting. They do pop up every now and then, but be careful as you really need to buy well with these cars.
G1NGE, are you asking £10500? If so, I hope you get every penny - my immaculate 2008 E81 manual has 49000 miles and I'd be tempted to flip it for that kind of money.

Scorp, this is close to your spec and price:

Thats very nice.. thanks for the response

I'm really surprised that none of you has snapped this one up...or even expressed much interest in it:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-130i-msp ... 1438.l2649

I know there have been some comments about it, but it's all the bits to make it extraordinary. Aburdly (IMO), much of the modding appears to have been carried out by BMW dealerships too!

+1 it doesn't have zenons or heated seats and the wheels are to my choice but the mods are top drawer and worth a small fortune! For £7.5k it seems a good buy to me. From the ad it looks like the owner loved the car.

What's folks view on what constitutes high mileage? This one's up for £4k at 120 000 miles from a dealer who's going to sort some items?

That's a high mileage on a 1er (and about the right price), but there are lots of N52s in 3 series and 5 series that have done over 200k without major issues apparently.

Not that the guy is bigging it up when he says he'll get his leather expert to take a look at the knackered drivers seat bolsters

Be interesting to see what his 'leather expert' could do with that when its plastic! Sensatec to give it its official name

Also its been busy since the last MOT - 30k miles - I'd be looking carefully at that service history to make sure its all there + its for real

Be very careful at that sort of money

That's a tidy car. Add up what you think the repairs to the paint, wheel rims and the seat and knock him down. I doubt you'll get it for less than £3500, but you might...

120,000 is not that high for an N52. It's got quite a basic spec, so there's not much to fall off.
