Throttle closures with mhd stage2+

Post by Speedychuck » Mon Apr 17, 2017 8:00 pm

Now my clutch is bedded in I've finally been able to log a pull on mhd stage 2+.

Looks like I'm getting some overboost causing some throttle closures as I boost up. Previously with mhd maps the boost runs slightly below target but this seems slightly over. Do any of you have any ideas what's causing it? Or is it that the car will adapt over time?

I realise not many of us on here run mhd, but I thought I'd ask anyway in case any lurkers can help me out.

See log here

Thanks!

I updated my jb4 firmware after installing my inlets a few weeks back which was causing massive over boost but eventually the car adapted and has been fine since so that might be the case here.

I posted it elsewhere on e90post maybe I should try that thread also. Thanks for the link.

Adam- hopefully you are right and it will adapt eventually although if I'm brutally honest, it doesn't really seem to be affecting the way the car pulls.

No worries, the guys who make MHD are really active on that thread. :)

Have you tried resetting the throttle adaptation in MHD? Might be worth a go if not.

Hi mate... I had problems recently of a different nature... In the end I emailed MHD direct.. They were pretty helpful..
Probably worth a try.
Also log a wot run in 3rd and post it on the relevant sites.
