New 1 series pricing.

Post by ChrisBM140i » Tue Jul 09, 2019 9:12 pm

Just noticed Arnold Clark have uploaded all new 1 series deals on their website. The new M135i isn’t looking like the bargain the M140i was.

What do you expect? It's only just been released to market with no cars delivered yet.

Give it time and the contributions and discounts will follow. I doubt they'll be as big as for the M140 run out models though.

The A35 had better deals when first released. But yeah, I guess you are right. The run out deals for the M140i were as good as I ever remember them being.

I am more tempted by an M2 comp now though. Same monthlies with a 4k deposit. Granted, running costs would be higher but it is very tempting! :)

A35 has had some great deals since first released. I’m sure these will be all over the road soon.

I love how the first option listed is "launch control" - they know their market well :)

Prices will come down in due course. But the 140/240 as this forum can attest, on balance, was built down to a price; and with the steadily falling £ it would be amazing if the new car was near the same price as the old one.

I'd say "wait until you drive it", but we know the Court of Public Opinion doesn't need things like evidence before delivering the verdict ;)

I think that the Figures for a standard M135i xDrive should be more like;

dep £464
47 x £464.43
GFV £15,281.93

Plus of course there is a £1000 loyalty bonus if you currently own any BMW or MINI product in the same household.
you don't have to PX your car to benefit I should add.

Exactly.

There is no need to sting the price at this point. By spring next year it will be less than £399/month at £399 down with no optional equipment required.

What will make the M135i compelling is that stock includes everything you want such as front and rear parking sensors, cruise control, heated seats, Pro Nav and even folding mirrors.

Even the Shadow edition didn't have Front&Rear PDC or bum warmers!

Sure you can add the M-Sport Plus package for H&K but is in my opinion not a must if you look at the number of beemers that are equipped with it.
Cars:
-19' M140i SE, AW, MP LSD, Birds B1 Suspension(Adaptive delete), Heated Seats, Power Folding Mirrors, F&R PDC, Rev.Camera

-19' X3 20i M-Sport, Adaptive Suspenion, Pro Nav, Icon Headlights, Parking Assist Plus, Power Folding Mirrors

Belgian BMW website. M135i configurator.

With few options: 55'000 euros
Some more options: up to 60'000 euros
Fully loaded: around 62'000-64'000 euros

The first reaction has been to look at M2C :D ... Not that far in price: 69'000 euros

That sucks, they're about 15k EUR cheaper than that here.

I see the A35 starts at 52k Euros in Belgium, so based on previous price differentials, an A45 will end up, what 65-70k euros before equipment, and well over 80,000 euros fully loaded?

Does anyone know when they will be widely available in the EU and UK? Trying to figure out when they might be affecting the second-hand prices of F20s.

I believe order books have been open for a few weeks already? I'd expect deliveries in September on a 69 plate.

Curiosity got the better of me the other night and specced up a M135i on the BMW site similar to my 140i and the final cost was quite substantially more with similar kit, even before discounts from what I can remember on the 140i. Sunroof I think is 100 quid more than the old, but was quite surprised it was the wrong side of 40k. But yes the discounts will kick in once on sale.

All pointless at the end of the day as I'm not interested in one.

I did exactly the same. I suspect many on here will have done the same. Why wouldn't you. I too got the price right up £40K. It's quite shocking how much these cars have gone up in less than three years. Horrendous inflation! It's one the reasons I'm keep mine longer than I intended to. That and I'm going to sit and wait to see if they bring out a hotter version - F40 M140i xDrive. I test drove an A35, which I so wanted to like, but it just wasn't anywhere near as good as my M140i. Felt slow and under-engineered compared to my own car. I think the A45 and A45s will feel a little bit more special. But, you'll flippin' pay for it - possibly close to £50K for the A45s.

Stupid question time - where did you find the configurator for the M135i? All I can find under the 1 series configurator on the BMW UK site is the lesser versions - how do you get to the M135?

It's weird. You have to ask the BMW Genius team for a link - or at least I did.
