My car will be a collector’s item with its rare original software build...

Mine has just been dropped off at the dealer in order to force the software update through, and address a couple of other warranty issues (creaking rear passenger compartment plastics that they previously ‘fixed’ and the groaning from the rear brakes that they have ‘failed to replicate’ on 3 previous occasions). Fingers crossed!

No it requires the November update which I'm guessing is what they are now starting to deploy OTA (11.20)
Dealership updates and new cars have had this since November

The article states UK compatible vehicles won't get Alexa functionality till the end of March. Maybe we won't get the OTA update 11.20 till that point, it seems daft to do the upgrade in 2 halves

I had 11/2020.45 installed when my car went into the dealers due to not receiving the 07/2020 update OTA. Not looked to see if Alexa integration works, or is even there.

Hmm didn't notice the footnote on the article at first.
If I had to guess maybe the update will be deployed to us at the end of march.

Would be interesting to see if anyone has the Alexa integration that's already on this version.

It’s taken from October until today to get 2020/07.54 installed on mine (only took 8 emails to BMW Customer Services, the car being in a crap dealer who couldn’t give a toss for 2 days, another unanswered email to BMW Customer Services and finally a lengthy rant to the CEO of BMW UK who’s PA booked me into a different dealer today). I hope I don’t have to go through that again for the next upgrade.
