First auction success

Post by @selectinggear »

Hello All,

So our first auction ended with great success and happy buyers and sellers are now making contact and cars are being handed over.

You can see our first handover of a beautiful BMW 340i Touring Shadowline on our instragram - https://www.instagram.com/selectinggear/

If you're thinking about selling a car please do talk to us. Any car sold that quotes BabyBMW will result in a % of our commission going straight back to the forum.

Any questions, please email us at hello@selectinggear.com

Best,

James

Hello Mucus,

We operate 2 models for the seller. In both models the car needs to be solely for sale through the auction...

1. The seller keeps the car with them, sends to us 50-100 detailed pictures and some details on the vehicle, plus a reserve amount if they want one added.

We curate the information into the auction and set it to go live for a one week duration (or more dependent on the sellers preference).

The winner of the auction pays 100% of the hammer price to the seller and 5% commission to Selecting Gear.

Buyer and seller are introduced once commission is received.

The seller organises the handover etc.

2. The buyer can send the car to one of our partner garages who will valet, professionally photograph and hold the car for 2 weeks (1-week lead in and 1-week auction). The partner garage will arrange all viewings etc. carry out the handover. Minimal aggro for the seller. This 'white gloves service' costs £250.

Then, exactly as model 1, we curate the information into the auction and set it to go live.

The winner of the auction pays 100% of the hammer price to the seller and 5% commission to Selecting Gear. We then organise the handover once all payments have gone through.

If a car is referred through BabyBMW and sells, we will pay a percentage of our commission to the forum.

We've tried to make it as easy and painless as possible for all involve, and feedback from the first auction has been excellent.

Any other questions please don't hesitate to ask.
