Sounds good. I've heard mixed reviews on them. Some people say they love the power and speed of course, but that it feels detached and sterile and after a while becomes surprisingly 'boring', but others really enjoy them, so I guess it just depends on the person, but I doubt I would turn one down ;)

It definitely feels a lot more of everything compared to my 135i and just eclipses my jcw

One of my neighbours has one. He loves it to death. It replaced a SL500.

Cars like the RS3 and A45 are phenomenal as covering a lot of ground very quickly and are brutally fast.

I believe that's effectively FWD pushing some power to the rear (max 50%) when going gets slippy.

The latest one sounds much better with what seems to be a proper 4WD system.

Over Christmas, I treated myself to a voucher for the Mercedes AMG63 Half Day driving experience at Brookland and am hoping to have a play in the "lesser" A45 if available

I had 3 on my list. Focus RS / M140i / A45

Wife said she's divorce me if I put an RS on the drive, so was out of the question. Preferred on paper just due to holding value better than the others.
Test drove the A45. thought it would be my choice due to the 4wd. Very quick car and handled well. Did like it.
M140i... Guess I'm just a sucker for a straight 6 as that's what ended up parked outside the house.

Everyone seems to be doing that now, even the new BMW 135 x drive is front biased. Basically everyone is on the same formula - 2lt 4 pot, 4WD, auto box hot hatch. VW, MB, BMW etc.

All getting to homogeneous out there.
F21 M135i 3dr auto. Estoril blue, black leather.

Have you been before? Great day out. I drove the new C63, C63 Black Series and went in the car with the Silver Arrows. Hands down best driving day experience. Really get to push the limits of the car with a professional next to you helping you do it further.

Not been before and hoping to be able to turn off all the nannies.

On viewing the activities during the visit, I was a bit disapointed at the slipperiness of the circle meaning that the drifting was nearly walking pace. Maybe it will feel faster from inside.

Just to be clear, when I said "sounds much better", I was referring to the spec, not the engine, in that it seems a similar system to the RS and not FWD biased.

I know these types of cars pick up flack from some quarters, but there is a kind of perverse pleasure in driving something that can do so much, for so little effort.
Back in the day, my brother had an RS6, the one with the twin turbo V10. It delivered a reliable and unstressed 628 bhp at the wheels. It was a real under the radar car, finished in a dark Audi grey. Great fun to crush cross country roads with its collosal power, brakes and grip and humbling M3s with his two ladradors in the back :D

Dont get me wrong, the "skid/drift" area was fun bu get it on the track!
