Posted up that I was almost sold on the idea of an Audi S4 saloon next BUT since then it seems the VAG group are so behind in the new vehicle testing that orders can’t be fulfilled until some point in Q1 2019 for many of their cars, there are some understandably angry customers on many of the Audi forms
There are some amazing deals on the 4 series at the moment and been offered 21.2 % discount on a 435D xdrive Msport with the following options
M sport plus pack
Digital cockpit
Msport adaptive susoension
Enhanced Bluetooth and wireless charging
Has anyone made the move from 2 to 4 series ?

Re: Considering a 435D xdrive
I can vouch for the 430d, effortless torque and a smooth 3 litre.
Great for motorway cruising, I can comfortably average 55mpg (I’ve seen 66mpg but that was a dull drive!)
Put it in sport and it’s still a very capable car
Build quality is good, space is also good
Where are you based?

I’m in sunny Southampton
Not sure whether to go for a Tourer or Coupe, failing that a GT.
Like the look of the GT and the additional boot space with a more practical boot aperture makes it appealing but I’m not 100% sold.

Well I’ve got the coupe and boot space is great plus I think it looks sporty
Tourer is the ultimate in practicality, just depends on what your needs are
IMO the 430 seemed to be the sweet spot in terms of speed/power, and economy
420 - little slow
435d - little thirsty
Test drive your top two then go from there, you won’t be disappointed either way
