Just need to finish some “on going projects“ so I can get the car in my garage to attempt fitting it all 😩

I was thinking about buying a 50mm crows foot for removal and to do the torquing on that lsd coupling nut when the cars on axel stands marco, any foreseeable issues with that mate?

And I think I’m going to take the rear housing cover off to use some compressed air to get as much ‘grit’ out of there as possible.
possibly a disassemble, inspection and thorough clean even.
Will try and sorce a pair of half shaft oil seals too.

Sounds fine to me, I fitted mine myself.

I had SWBMO stand on the brake pedal at one point, when undoing the prop, iirc. Probably isn't the correct way, reading the newTIS instructions.

They pop right out with a pry bar / crowbar / long screwdriver. It's best practice to replace the locking rings apparently, but mine didn't appear to be damaged.

She Who Must Be Obeyed, so yes, a big weighty monster!

No, the 116i comes with a physically much smaller differential, wouldn't bolt in.

Birds BMW would fit a Quaife for you for £2,000 though

No. Only M2’s, none of the M140i have a mechanical LSD as standard.
