android 8.1 issues

Hello

Can someone help is possible

I have an M140 with pro nav and my pixel 2 on android 8.1 wont work with the steering wheel controls and doesn't display track or artist. Is their a work around? Or just another case of BMW not supporting latest android.

I've been having similar issues since Android 8. They reworked Bluetooth heavily, but I think it must be down to individual apps whether it works properly or not.

In Spotify it depends what you're doing, on playlists there's track data and I can skip forwards and backwards, but not on random plays. I've never been able to get the full track navigation working even though the options are now present on the screen.

It's better than it was but still far from ideal.

I'm running Android 8.0 and it works sketchily, the big problem for me is that the BMW connected app crashes so frequently, which then causes my Spotify to close.

Did it work for you with 8.0, should I be wary of upgrading to 8.1?

I've not tried 8.0 as I've used Online Entertainment up to now but prefer Spotify to Deezer so was experimenting will 8.1 (without success).
