Okay so I have an M135i and have the following installed

MTX TX6 Tweeters, Mids, Underseat Subs all powered by a JL JX400/4.
I also have a Audison Prima APBX 10 powered by a JL JX250/1

I have a JL Fix 86 installed and a bypass cable to remove the active sound from the exhaust.

I thought I'd be pretty happy with it all but it sounds a bit..um.. crap.

To improve it I have some options which are,
I have another JL JX400/4 lay around. Perhaps I could run some more power to it? Perhaps drive the undersea subs by bridged JX5400/d
Swap the MTX TX6 for something like a Gladen Extreme set or Etons
Add a TWK 88
Give up and go to the pub.

The system really lacks punch and definition.. If someone could advise that would be great.

Gladen will be the best you can put in really. I did that in my E87, amped on an XD400/4, PIoneer AVIC-F80DAB and I'd highly recommend it.

Are you sure your Sub is in-phase with the underseats?

I'd carefully work backwards and try to identify which areas are delivering and which aren't...
