Speaker/Subwoofer wiring

Post by hulmie » Wed Jul 11, 2018 1:03 pm

I have a 123d E87 5 door which from looking only has a business headunit and basic speaker setup (No subwoofers or side parcelshelf speakers). What I am trying to find out is if the speaker loom should still be in the car for subwoofers etc so I could fit these without having to route in new wires etc? Also does anyone know if the amp wiring will be in the car and just needs digging out?

no subwoofer under drivers or passenger seat. think it only has the basic speakers installed in front door cards and side parcel shelf.

Have been looking at aftermarket headunits but very limited information available on options for the E87 due to the centre console being different size to the other 1 series. Overall I think the BMW's are over priced and poorly spec'd. My weekend car (mk6 Golf R) is a lot better spec'd, better to drive and better value for money, but the BMW is just for daily use so just want to add some better speakers & headunit.

Should have a sub under the passenger seat at least as standard.
