Hi all,
Thought it was about time a made a little thread about my Baby BMW; it's a 2011 120d in space grey. Insurance was surprisingly cheap with a black box, as I'm only 19. It was down to an A3 TDI Black Edition, but glad I made the right choice. Spec wise I wasn't too picky as this is my second car, my first being a '03 1.4 Ibiza SE this one came up so I swiftly snapped it up!
Heated Leather
Front + Rear PDC
Auto lights/wipers
CC
Unfortunately no iDrive or Angel eyes however I can live with it!
The day I picked him up.
First thing I did was take the badge off the back, followed by swapping my Sh*tenza RFTs for Eagle Asym 3's
Camber pin mod followed which hopefully will reduce my shoulder wear.
I have big plans for this car and I'm looking forward to hearing everyone's ideas [emoji16]
Darklines have arrived and will be fitting ben shortly...
Congratulations and welcome to the home of baby BMW.
Cars looks lovely and for only 19 you should be chuffed to bits to own such a brilliant car.
We've had a couple of new young guys join recently and will only say that you must check with your insurance company first their policy on aesthetic modifications and then declare all modifications. I only say this because my old insurance company said nothing extra on my premium when I declared my boot spoiler, I then declared various parts and mods throughout the year, but when it came to renewal they wanted an extra ÂŁ400!!!
They said if i remove the performance air filter and boot spoiler they'll reduce price by ÂŁ300. So it varies from company to company.
Anyway darklines are a great start and eagle asymmetrics and camber pin are essential. Black grilles would look awesome too and a hundred other mods that will sap your cash quicker than Las Vegas casino lol
Any questions just ask and we'll do our best - especially if you start to look at changing your alloys.

Cheers Twenny
I've had a bit of a gander with my insurance and I did declare my remap which makes me realise I did forget to mention that lol.
Took it town to P-Torque which is half an hour from me, did have to chase Will for about 3 weeks trying to get my dyno results, however I am pleased with the results. Got them through last week.
I have been on here as a different name- so not so much of a stranger as you may think hehe
Very nice motor you got there pal, same car same age lol. Similar situation to me with the black box, but I decided to bite the bullet and pay more to avoid having a box installed.
Biggest tip from myself and some higher authority chaps on the forum is to keep personal details to yourself by ignoring personal and private questions, after all, this is a forum for collaboration, innovation and sharing experiences. Not a law investigation!
I strongly recommend a nice set of 313 M alloys if you want to stick to the OEM look that is. A nice set of smoked repeaters, boot spoiler and a set of black grills. Personally I would mostly stick to OEM, only because you're driving a decent BMW, that's actually worth some and OEM parts are always going to be of good quality from BMW
Good luck with the rest of your mods mate, I look forward to seeing future pics

•Painted/Carbon spoiler- really not sure which yet
•Dual exhaust tips
•Black diffuser, or a Rieger one
•Black Kidneys
•Going to keep the 261's for now, but get a refurb and respray
•H&Rs or Eibach springs
•Some alcantara trim and steering wheel
•Black front splitter

More changes going on, this time I had the backbox deleted and a straight pipe to a twin tip. Does sound a lot better, and looks way better than the oval tip for a decent price!

Sooooo decided on wrapping parts of my interior trim as I wasn't a huge fan of the standard silver parts. It was a toss up between black or carbon fibre, however went for alcantara as seen by the MWerks 135i a while back. This included the trim surrounding the CC unit which I really liked!
So got had an afternoon of gutting the interior and sorting all my tools out, and it wasn't as bad as I expected- took around 30 mins to completely take the trim out including the centre console.
Began wrapping yesterday and it isn't the most forgiving to work with, having no stretch compared to vinyl.
Did involve having to drive to work with no interior, but tonight I've finally finished and I'm happy with the results!
Considering this is my first time wrapping anything, I'm rather pleased. It's not perfect by any means, but I'm happy [emoji16][emoji16][emoji16]
It's pitch black so I can't get any decent pictures, I'll try tomorrow and see how they turn out!
A little has changed since the last post, kinda tidied up the interior as well as getting a set of coilovers to sort that ride height out.
After the coilovers and the longest weekend of my life
Keep changing my plans at the moment, but I think I'm set on leaving my 261s as they are and saving for some new wheels. I'm getting kinda bored of the OEM look!
BBS LM or similar, but want to go with something different such as Roti KPS or even some BLQ. We'll see??!!
The diffuser is a Rieger style diffuser but in a carbon version as they didn't make them! The front splitter is another style that you can only get in the states, again in carbon, I wasn't really a fan of the normal flat version. But thanks! It needs some work but I'll get some pics up as soon as it's fitted.
Correct there's some stretch at the rear and a little less up front, but it was the only way I'd get them to fit as the offsets are a little aggressive, but thanks I'm rather happy with them!
More updates, so the following happened over the summer;
Fitted my Carbon M4 Spoiler
Then fitted my Carbon Front Lip
Then refinished the Carbon Reiger style Diffuser
From
To
Then fitted
Then fitted from Grey Depo V2s
So this is what the cars looking like right now. I need to take the front and rear lip/diffuser off to refinish as I managed to mess up the carbon pretty bad. I'll probably then put them back on next year for a while!
Thanks for reading!
