More induction noise on the 135i N55?

Post by CynicalRobot » Fri Feb 09, 2018 2:53 pm

Hey All, my 135i is bone stock at the moment and i am not mechanically minded.

Is there an easy way to get more induction noise from the car that i can do myself? I read that a different air filter will help but to be honest... i really have no idea. I read the panel filters are good but k&n might be better but involve more work? My mechanical skills are worse than Clarkson. I dont want more performance really, the car is perfect for me at the moment i just want a little more induction noise thats all.

If anyone can suggest a viable option i can easily try please let me know!

Thanks :)

135i and M135i are different cars by the way, and I would get the BMS Intake, it doesn't give any power gain without a JB4 but it gives you lots of turbo & intake noises :)

Yes, a nutless monkey could throw one on in a few seconds.

Be warned though, they sometimes cause a lean/flat spot around 2,000 rev/min. If it gets the hiccups around that rev range you'll have to take it off again. It's pot luck whether your N55 will tolerate one, some will and some won't.
