Spacers

Post by Pattaz84 » Sat Jul 28, 2018 8:23 am

So picking some 208M alloys up on Tuesday and was looking at lowering springs (eibach pro) and some spacers to fill the arches. I’m sure I read somewhere on here (but can’t find it now) that you can have 12mm on the front and 15mm on the rear without rubbing?

Any advice from people who have done it as I don’t want to spend the money to find out they rub once fitted.

My car is a 2010 e87 118d m sport

Thanks

Graham

12mm all round is usually safe, as BMW allow that gap for their own snow chains.

Which 208m are you getting, the early ones with 8" rears, or later versions with 8.5" rears?

I don't think I'd risk 15's personally.

Do they have 245mm or 255mm tyres on?

I have bimmec spacers on my M140 and they look awesome with the car lowered on Motech springs.

12mm front 15mm back no rubbing just looks great.
