Gave mine a proper workout on track at croft today, simply immense! Just over 100 track miles done and never missed a beat with consistent and controllable power lap after lap, same cant be said for my tyres which are about done on shoulders now after trying to stay with slick shod cars, oh well time for new boots before spa :)

Now on my 3rd 130i, this time a nice E81 in Graphite, Previously 2 x 130i and 2 x 135i

Going to keep the RSR's on these wheels and use for sprints etc, after turning fronts on rims to get better outer shoulder if inner isn't too bad, then on my stock wheels think im going with the Yoko V105 for road and this euro trip :)

Going back a bit - are spacers required to fit the front M135i brakes? I have front M3 LCAs so I don't know whether I have any space for spacers. Thanks

Depends on your wheels? My stock 208m wheels just clear on front and rear without spacer but its very close to spokes especially on rear, I run 14mm spacers on these wheels at rear which gives plenty of clearance and no wheel rub on 225/40 tyres, on front I was running 12mm spacers but after fitting M3 LCA I was getting some arch rub with same 225/40 tyres so have dropped down to 5mm spacers on front and all rub has gone.

On my other 217 style wheels I need to run spacers front and rear, 5mm on back is enough but 12mm on front is required.

18" ET 47 fronts, 225 MPSS tyres, 8J rim width. Think it's the same as yours?

But what wheels are they ?....both of my sets are 7.5"wide fronts which is same on most stock wheels and my ET's are 47 and 49 iirc, however due to spoke design differences the 217style wheels wont clear without spacers.

Oh sorry, that was stupid of me - they are Style 71's (E46 wheels):

Hmm looks like you might struggle to get the M135 calipers behind them without spacers due to spoke design, which looks similar to my 217style just less spokes, however if you measure from your disc outer face to inside of spokes I will be able to give you a better idea

Anybody know the piston sizes of the m135i calipers?

Depending on sizes I might fit them on my Cooper s

I'll need to do some research
I'm sure mini uses rebranded bmw calipers

Cooper s has 1x 46mm pistons
Cooper s gp has 1x54mm and is a decent upgrade
But will 4x35 work also

It should be ok i think, check out the R56 JCW as that has 4pot brembos with 4 x 38mm pistons but not sure if Master cylinder is different, that said ive loads of customers who have swapped from both R53 and R56 CooperS single pots to the JCW brembos with no issue regards pedal travel etc, also there is the R56 GP2 which used 135i front 6pots!

Tips:
when cutting the rear heat shields, I didn't remove the handbrake shoes, just the top Spring clip and pushed them out the way to avoid the faff.

Original 130i heat shields front and rear.

Use an 11mm then 12mm drill to slowly enlarge the rear hub (most diy drills stop at 10mm so check!)

Easy job, once you've seen it done! 130i brakes for sale!

Guess im one year late hehe. I own an e82 125i coupe and im dealing with the same rear trouble. Would you guys have a more detailed info about the rear calipers. Like some kind of diy guide . Because im dealing with the rear hand brake issue
