The RS29's were knackered, and the XP10's are worn a bit now, thats what happened
As for "the right pad for the customer", dont really know what youre getting at there but Im not complaining about them squeaking round town (they do, a lot) or the brake dust - its worse than others Ive used but its something I expect. Unfortunately Ive been busy this year but I usually do 10+ trackdays a year including at least one overseas and I drive HARD, I need the best performing pads available, a 135 is hardly a light car
The catching fire and the whining noise however are definitely issues and not something Ive experienced in any other brake pad, or heard about in 10+ years as admin on a couple of other boards apart from the odd "my mates mate said" story.
It could be a disc or caliper issue which is what Im having checked out now but at the moment if I need another set Ill probably plump for similarly performing pads that I didnt have the same issues with.
Ill get the car back on Monday or Tuesday and Ill update then, Im hopeful that theres just a bit of shyte causing a problem or something, we shall see
