Nice one Andy, Donny is a brilliant track, you’ll love it and I wish I could join you!

Make sure you share some vid with us 8)
I've done it a few times now, I think it's great. It's like a bigger version of Brands Hatch.

I’ve only been once but really want to go again. It’s a bit of a trick but worth it.

I will be at Goodwood tomorrow in my white R53 - if you're around come and say hi.

Its a Goodwood club day so there are often some very nice cars in the queue...

I've booked in to Donington Park (national) on 4th September with Javelin.
Track was damp for the first few hours, very quiet and good fun.

Once it dried out it got very busy, and disrupted with red flags.
Donington often is, but this day moreso.
The Ginetta team in the garage next to me had a nice rockery and a bunch of broken suspension for their efforts.

Once it had calmed down there was decent space on the circuit.
Got done for track limits

There was a bit more chaos immediately after lunch but eventually it calmed down and the afternoon session was very enjoyable.

I'm out of work leave and to be honest cash for this sort of thing for the year.
Interested in how the practicalities work though, can you get insurance? And on what basis.
Is it like the UK where there's no third part liability on track?

It is Javelin (UK company) running the gig, I booked through Trackdays.co.uk. I have insurance with Morris, I bought a pack at the beginning of the year and simply update the location and date when I book something - there was nothing extra to pay for going to Spa. I would assume it is pretty much the same as in the UK, but as with most things on the continent, a lot more common sense thrown in and greater responsibility for your own actions etc. I have done a couple of bike track days abroad and am not aware that there are any 'gotchas' to watch out for. Never done one in the car though.

As to 'no third party liability on track', that is not true even here. You have an accident, and yes it is probably all down to having accepted the risk of taking part. BUT if you are seen to be negligent then you will be liable. locking up the brakes and sliding into someone is not going to be considered negligent - incidents happen. But negligence of unsafely re-joining, ignoring warning flags, etc are likely to still end up in court.

DN22 was MEGA!!!!!!!!!

Heading to Rockingham a week today (Friday 18th, also on Thursday 17th but I can't make that) with Mission Motorsport. A few places left for both days: https://twitter.com/Missionmotorspt/sta ... 6177051649

If that goes well then looking to book Saturday 7th December at Oulton with Circuit Days.

And, just in case anyone else is involved/interested, racing Race of Remembrance in November at Anglesey: http://www.raceofremembrance.com/
