Just a note to say that the MINI finance calculator works for all makes and models (not just BMW and MINI) and that the aforementioned vin decoder is still free (and worked very well to find the specification of my to-be-delivered Mercedes!).

OK, thanks. I tried vindecoderz the last time I updated the 1st post and it was definitely not working as a free service. I've just checked a BMW 135i (not mine) with it and when I clicked 'build sheet' it took me to another web site where I needed to pay to see it. Please provide the steps required to get a free build sheet from vindecoderz and I'll update the 1st post with instructions.

I also tried the mini finance calc a while ago with a random reg and it didn't work. But I just tried a couple of reg's and it was working for a couple of random cars in my street. 1st post will be updated although this might be of limited value as the point was to provide a way for owners/prospective owners to look up the build sheets for BMWs
