Winter Tyres? Try TyreLeader - Tyres Online Good Prices Big Selection

Post by jaynemc » Fri Nov 13, 2015 12:59 pm

This site seemed to offer a wide selection of tyres at what we found to be the most competitive prices on the Net at the time when my other half was looking a a pair of winters for his daily driver the other week. All prices shown include delivery - in fact our turned up with a courier the next day.

https://www.tyreleader.co.uk/

He used this site in conjunction with a site with tyre reviews to narrow it down to his final choice.

That's not difficult;-). They can be quite a lot cheaper than quite a few online retailers on many lines indeed though. I bought x4 225 45 17 Nokian D4 for £300 recently. Prices vary daily though and carefull with older DOTs.

Yes agree with that. It pays to shop around daily but we found TyreLeader was still coming out tops.

My other half bought 2 winters with a DOT 2012 date. So cheap as I believe they can't be sold on the Continent due to their age but they can in the UK.

We figured tyres are generally fine as long as they are not dumped outside. TyreLeader are dealing with such huge quantities they'll have been stacked in some warehouse. Its quite a saving and there has to be a reason.

Maybe cheap for some brands/sizes but certainly not for all.

I bought four continental TS830p (225/40/18) from my local tyre place for £150 each, fully fitted.

Tyre leader want £145 delivered so by the time you add fitting that will be dearer than what I paid. As said, shop around!
