Convertible rear seat removal

Post by waldorf »

Hi guys,
Any information about how to remove the rear seat in a 1 series convertible?
The rear seat part just clicks into place, but the back rest is not clear to me how to remove it.
I am preparing for an audio upgrade and need to run cables from front to rear, so the rear side panel has to come off. This panel has a speaker which is going to be replaced as well.
Thanks.

Thanks, looks like you need to remove the headrests, then remove the plastic part * which holds the headrests. Then the back rest comes out.
*: this is the tricky part, both holes have two clips each and need to be released at the same time.
