Bmw 116i 2009 loss of power white smoke

Post by Katieemily97 » Thu May 16, 2019 5:49 pm

Wondering if anyone could help?
I brought a bmw 116i 2009 2ltr 2 months ago,
2 weeks ago was driving the car after about 2 hours of driving the engine light came on, loss of power, white smoke and juddering, took it to garage and got all 4 coil packs and spark plugs replaced and the car has been fine.
Yesterday drove the car for about 4 hours then suddenly exactly the same thing happened again. I am slightly confused as to why it is only happening after very long journeys, but not every long journey?
Has anyone had a similar issue/ any ideas?

You need the fault codes read from the DME. Probably a faulty injector/s and or faulty fuel rail low pressure sensor.
