Coolant leak E87 120i

Post by kingmanowar »

Hi guys,
I've noticed that my beemer is losing coolant, not much but still.... So when i topped up i saw a few drops coming from this screw. Also i have checked the hose above it and it is fully dry. Can anyone help me identify the issue and possibly how to solve it. Thanks in advance.

The picture shows your timing chain tensioner. It won’t be leaking coolant.

Hm, any ideas why the color of liquid on tensioner matches coolant color?

If you use a pressure tester you can thoroughly check the cooling system for leaks.

My bad, fluid is leaking from hose connection above tensioner. I've tried to tighten the screw, will see what happens. If i have to replace the hose i guess i need to drain coolant?
