Hesitation around 1500-2500 rpm

Post by Scorpiojones »

118d 2011 1series coupe.
Slight hesitation when cruising
It’s fine when driving with foot down but when I cruise at a constant speed I feel slight hesitation.
Can anyone point me in right direction to the fault.
Iv took it to a garage and was no fault codes.
Could it be battery related as my battery light has just started to come on?
Had a look a previous threads but non seem to solve the problem or find the issue.
Any advice appreciated

Unlikely to be the battery on a diseasil, I'd be looking at the EGR valve.

I had a slight jerking or hesitation in my F20 118d B47 whilst cruising at a constant speed. BMW seemed to know immediately what the issue was. Replaced the EGR, problem solved. Coding out the EGR may also be an option.
