BMW F20 116i Coolant Loss Help

Post by nathanseaman » Tue Mar 27, 2018 7:43 pm

Hi all

Had the coolant warning come on a while ago. Topped up.
Checked car today and level is dropping slowly

Noticed some blue scum on side of turbo. Could it be the problem?

Hi Mate

Did you get any answers on this? as I have noticed this on my 116i today after being out in it.

When I opened the bonnet to do something else on it I noticed a noise and it was exactly like your pics, it had been leaking making a hissing noise as hot liquid dropping on the pipes, however no signs of me losing coolant as of yet.

Here is the pic of mine today;

Let me know if you had yours looked mate?

Thanks bud

Let me know how you get on.

If mine gets any worse I am going to take it in to get sorted as I have a my own warranty when I purchased the BMW and it still valid until next Jan so have plenty of time to sort mine out if it continues.
