Pressure sensor on brake servo

Post by DAC52 » Tue Jul 17, 2018 7:18 am

Hi All,
I have a 118d.
Background-
Had a fault for 2 years now yellow triangle and ! on start up and shut down code CCID397, following the advice on here in other threads I managed to change the sensor, bit of a fiddle but got it done.

Question:- The yellow warning triangle and! still appear, do I need to have the car plugged in and the fault code removed, thought the new sensor might have stopped that, hope it was the sensor, or not a duff replacement sensor that I fitted?

Any help / advice much appreciated.

Thanks, Dave.
Ps, any decent mobiles that do code resetting in Sheffield?

No coding is needed to remove the error. As soon as the sensor is replaced it should clear
Speaking from experience as I changed one.
DEFECTED TO SKODA.

Thanks for getting back to me again, possibly something else, although when I had the car in recently for other work it was diagnosed as the sensor, been showing that fault for about 2 years now.

I went for one of the cheaper repo part from china, hope that's not a duff?

Will have a think about what to do.

Cheers, Dave.

Saga goes on!
Hi hope this may help others-
I popped into a garage yesterday and asked them to read the code showing and remove it, they checked the code, it was the servo pressure sensor, but he could not remove it - still a fault, guy came up with 2 possibilities new sensor faulty, or because it was a none BMW new part ( I bought on ebay new imported spare £16, rather than £120, thought too good to be true at the time!) the cars computer would not recognise it, and allow the code reset?

I have emailed the parts supplier, told them this and asked what they can do, will update on outcome, again may help some one with the same problem.

Thanks, Dave.

Hi,
Bought another replacement sensor (BMW one but not new) fitted it - still same fault code/fault?

May be another duff one, or some thing else?

Looks like garage time?

Any suggestions?

Thanks, Dave.
