Steering Wheel- Shiny look

Post by JohnsM135i » Sun Feb 25, 2018 4:36 pm

I was wondering if the shiny steering wheel can be prevented.

I assume the natural oils from your skin causes this?

My car has covered 2500 miles and the wheel still has the matt new look, how can i keep it like that?

Thanks

Yup, they turn gross over time from palm grease. Just clean it occasionally with a damp towel and a tiny bit of liquid hand soap.

Forgive me, but what sort of liquid soap, dont want to put something on it that may stain.

Could i use the Autogylm leather cleaner?

Thanks

Whatever I've got in the bathroom, Carex currently. Just a tiny amount, very mild solution.

I'm sure there are lots of proper alternatives though.

Dr Leather wipes are definitely my recommendation. Darryl reformulated some wipes and I've been using the new formulation ones for six months now and they are fantastic!
