Bad experience.

Just rang up your company to see what quotes you could give me, and I was told one of your firms selling the insurance won't insure me as I'm military. So I won't be using you at all.

They're not for everyone. No company can be. What does posting here help? They're just a broker.. Was the person on the phone particularly rude to you?

Not sure I get it!

Fine. I see that side of things I suppose...

When it comes down to it, being a forum sponsor is mostly just some advertising for the company doing it. As well, of course - as some money in the pockets of site admins for referrals which will help keep the site up and running...

But such deals are never likely to work for absolutely everyone. All insurers will have profiles of drivers they'll want to insure. I don't post on every forum I know that Sheila's wheels won't insure me because of my meat and 2 veg?

There's quite a few posts on this forum of them refusing to quote people.

They've refused people as

1) They have no RWD experience.

2) They haven't owned their Mlite long enough to be considered for insurance.

3) The step up from an Mlite to a C63 is too much for them to consider.

I just hope other insurance companies don't start with the heavy restrictions or it'll kill the BMW market if nobody can get insured in the first place.

Fair enough. They sound like b**tards. I retract my point

(I don't really care, but an even debate is usually worthwhile :-) )

Well, I had a bad experience on this topic where my lack of knowledge about another insurance provider was brought to the fore.

I wonder where I can go to complain about it ...

Add to that they wont quote anyone with no NCB. However, by freezing out certain groups it means they can give a better price to everyone that does qualify, you cant knock them for it. We had a club insurer on SXOC who refused to cover 200SX's after a couple of years, that was an interesting one
