Looking to buy some winter tyres for my 17" BMW 383M wheels. I believe the front wheels are 7.5" and rear wheels are 8". Thinking of buying the same size tyres so the tyres could be rotated on the wheels if needed. If so, what dimensions should I go for?

The summer tyres on the wheels now are front 225x45 and rear 245x40. Cheers!

One for Marco perhaps, or anyone else that might know.

I’ve got some 8.5” wheels for mine but have just seen some I like in the following size for sale...

18x9 et45 w/ 255/35 square

Any hope?

I’ve got coilovers with camber plates and intend to set it to about -2.5* front -2* rear.

You're going to struggle with the fronts on those.

9" is very wide front wheel and will definitely rub on the shock absorbers at ET45, you'd need a 10mm Spacer to fit them, maybe thicker.

Thanks for such a quick reply! Would be too much trouble to accommodate then, I’ll stick to the original plan and save myself a few quid! :)

I am going 18x8 et40 shortly, how is the fit at the front with the 245 tyres, is the steering any different?
