1 series coupe LCI lights

Post by Daim1441 » Mon Apr 08, 2019 10:58 pm

Hi guys, I was wondering if anyone could help me. Is it possible to make my brake lights look like the LCI Blackline ones? I was thinking it could be something as simple as wiring? Mine are identical but the red strip doesn’t light up. :?

This is the look I’m going for but as I mentioned previously the red strip on my lights don’t light up.

You might have the low version which doesn't have the led light, so you'll have to fork out on a new set of lights you need the high version led

Yep as Produce This said, guessing you have a 2011+ E82 which has the low celis rear cluster.

What you need is high darklines, but you’ll have to either tap a feed off your number plate to illuminate the LED (cant find a how to for the E82 only the E87 which are different lights so not sure if this will work) or you can change some pins around according to this thread.

I can’t vouch for this above working as I don’t know anyone in the UK that has done this (or the number plate feed) but it’s a worth a read.
