M140i JB+ fitted today initial review!

Post by Jamie214 » Wed Jul 19, 2017 11:10 am

Have you noticed an increase in gear change speed (if auto box) with the JB+ fitted by any chance?

I opted for TMC over the JB+ and on the highest setting my gearshifts have become unnervingly instant.

Yes, car feels stronger in mid range, it does not change the power delivery so you won't get a shove in the back. The car is just faster/ stronger. It is very noticeable in gear with WOT

Bought it from JB4 shop, call before you order to make sure they have stock.

Easy to fit, took about 8 mins. its right at the front of the engine, pulloff engine cover and undo 2 clips, easy peasy (opposed to the TDI Tuning box I had on my 208, that involved lots and lots of swearing)

Hi , I have a 135i 2010 N55.
I'm trying to find out if a jb+ would be compatible with my car , I've asked ML Performance but they haven't got back to me yet.
Has anyone used this combination?

Running mine turned up to max along with my BCS exhaust and the car is absolutley rapid :D no traction issues, economy still ok when you want it to be and power delivery is fantastic. No issues car now at 4500 miles. Fantastic purchase for the money!

Yeah it's certainly nice to have that extra power, but you have to be very careful with it, in comfort mode it's fine in the current weather, although too much gas and you spin likely crazy.

I find Sports mode uncontrollable and way too much.

Don't really agree with this, I use mainly sport and sport+, get the odd twitch, but with good throttle modulation definitely controllable, Obviously you can't floor the accelerator (I have JB+ btw)
Current 2015 F10 M5, MCB, silverstone. On order M140i, manual, MG, Oyster

I've got to be honest, my tyres have done 12k miles so I suspect I need some new tyres!!!! :)

It's on whatever the default setting was when it came, the back end is wiggling alot and I'm fairly gentle with the trottle tbh.
