Miltek exhaust

Post by TomL » Sat Dec 17, 2011 3:37 pm

How much would it cost to supply and fit a miltek cat back exhaust for a 2010 BMW 118d m sport coupe (143bhp version)?

Also with your remaps what kind of gains would be expected from this?

Do you do packages for a remap and a miltek exhaust?

Afternoon Tom,

I am afraid Milltek do not offer an exhaust the Coupe at the moment.

We can offer our AmD remap though. The remap on the 118d is briliant and really makes a big difference. The figures we gain are about 50bhp and about 70-80 lbft of torque. The price of this is £499.95 inc vat. We also carry out a before rolling road run to test standard power. The car is then mapped on the road as well as the dyno to suit your car. After this we finish with a final rolling road run so you have a print out of before and after power. The car will be much quicker all the way through the rev range as well as having better throttle response low down. You will find it is a lot more drivable.

Not only will the car be much quicker but when driving around normally it will also gain better mpg. Obviously the mpg gain will differ depending on your driving style and driving conditions. The reason for the gain in MPG is due to the extra torque, due to the extra torque you don’t have to push the car as hard when driving around normally. The extra torque means you would require less throttle to get to your desired speed which means you use less fuel. Hope that makes sense, it is one of those things that is easier to explain by spoken word.

Hope this helps,

Ben

Cheers for the reply.

Do you know if theres anything in the pipeline for a miltek exhaust for the coupe or would i be better off asking miltek themselves?

The remap sounds good and once the warranty has expired on the BMW i will definately be wanting the remap done.

Miltek exhaust

I spoke directly to Milltek this time last year about a coupe exhaust. They said they were thinking about producing one, but hadn't done anything about it - I assume that hasn't changed, which is a shame!

Thanks for the offer Tom, but Milltek would prefer a 123d as once the exhaust is made for that it will fit the other models.

I'll lend them mine if they let me keep the exhaust AND provide a courtesy car whilst they're using my car.

And then you give me a nice discount on a remap :)

Morning,

You would get to keep the exhaust system but would need to arrange your own transport I am afraid.

Damn, eomeone else can take my place on this as I'm about to get a DPF delete. I can't have a Miltek exhaust AND a DPF delete as it's a bit TOO loud.

Roll up guys, FREE Miltek exhaust on the go.

If they were a bit closer I think id be tempted. I was planning on getting a remap and exhaust (until I realised they didnt do one anyway).
