Post by monkey_man » Mon Dec 21, 2015 7:00 pm

Went to see Will at P-torque today to get my 123d mapped. Will is a top bloke and done a great job with my car which made 261bhp and 366lbft. Car feels so much better now and i would recommend anyone to get it done! Thanks again Will :D

Hopefully bringing mine there in a few weeks after the Xmas break

How does it drive now? Have you got the dpf/egr delete?

Drives very nice, still so smooth but just a nice extra load of torque down low and pulls the hole rev range. I had the egr delete but kept the dpf

Nice, did they explain what the real benefits of egr delete is? Is it just a cleaner engine or does it also increase bhp?

Is yours a manual or auto?

Mines a manual. I've blanked the egr in a previous car so know what it does and doesn't do. In reality it doesn't give more power but stops the dirty air going back into the engine for recycling. This makes pick up from low revs much better and smoother, plus you have the benefit of it not covering the insides with crud. Definitely worth while IMO

I'm still waiting to do this on the x1 but had it done on an astra a few years ago.

Cleaner engine and picks up better down the low end range which in a roundabout way does make it feel faster
