Could have both been returned at the end of a PCP plan. They have to be returned with legal tread so if you were handing it back what would you fit. Me, the cheapest possible, Sunny.

Yea for real ... he tried to take it back and the bmw dealer was like, you guessed it, “they are legal aren’t they!”

Needless to say he can’t even put down half of the 330bhp his z4 makes.

AUC means nothing. You're not getting a better car at all.

Even when a dealer totally disregards AUC guidelines BMW say it's up to each dealer if they follow them or not.

How come some mods are frowned uppon by insurance companies, yet it's no problem fitting "ditchfinders"?

Yep, they valet the car, make very very basic checks and hope that any faults the car has don't show up until after delivery so they can claim from BMW warranty rather than paying out of their own pocket.

That’s quite true,a few years back I bought a used Astra, actually from the same people,it had an esp light up,they asked me to leave it for a few days then report it,obviously so that it would be covered under warranty, and actually asked me to lie to the warranty company,I didn’t and they had to front the cost themselves, this is/was/still is the biggest car dealer in the city I live in

I was always lead to believe to be an AUC it has to have the same make tyres it came out of the factory on or it doesn't make the cut for their forecourts ?

Nah, make has never come into it. They should be the correct size, and have at least 3mm of tread.
