Anyone use any rust converter https://10carbest.com/best-rust-converters that you can paint over when dry? In other words, no scraping, no wire brushing, etc., just convert and paint. What did you use, how did it work?

Laurie from Kent.

Wife has a 2007 BMW Z4 E85 2.0L.

I currently have a 2018 Mini Clubman F54 2.0T.

Currently weighing up the option of getting rid of the Z4 and replacing with an M135i for myself and the Wife starts using the Mini. Had the Z4 2 years now and although there is nothing wrong with it, its largely impractical for me, hence why I use the Mini.

Hello everyone, been lurking in here for a year or so but now the kids are a little bigger I’ve been given the green light for something a little less practical for the daily driver - now trawling the ads for a 130i or 125i ...

Morning all.

Just saying 'hello' from north east Derbyshire - Bolsover, to be precise, known to locals as 'Boza'. We have a castle here....as well as The Beast, Dennis Skinner MP. :D

I've just put a deposit on a very nice '09 120d M-Sport convertible, to replace my wife's Saab Aero Convertible, which now has starship mileage and is starting to feel worn out....a bit like me! Loved driving the 120, it felt so much 'tighter' than the Saab....not sure about the aftermarket wheels though, TSWs, even though they do fill the arches nicely so might have to sell/trade them for some originals.

Not sure what I'll be able to contribute at this early stage, although no doubt I'll have a fair few questions as our ownership progresses. I've been trawling the forum for the past few weeks and picked up loads of useful info - what did we do prior to t'internet, I wonder....I can't remember! :)

Hi
All, I must say what a marvellous dedicated forum this Is!!. I'm 50 years old live in Scotland, and on a quest to buy a m135i. I've only got about £14000. To spend so I'm doing a little research on here about potential issues to look out for. But I hope to contribute to the forum also. I'm a spray painter to trade, so could contribute some of my knowledge if needed. Thanks for reading.

Thanks, I've seen a 135i advertised on gumtree . It's a 2015 with full bmw history with 76000.miles, I'm not sure about it to be honest. Asking price £13,900 . What do all think.

Hi all,

Joined a while back, when looking to buy a m135i. And ending up buying one from a forum member, albeit saw it advertised on auto trader.

Have owned for c.1.5 years and now looking to move it on, having bought a Porsche 996.

I have listed it on auto trader, and will list on here shortly and would appreciate any feedback on the ad/price.

Thanks

Funnily enough, a lot of 1-series owners on here have migrated up to Porsches (not me, yet...) - must be a German thing. :)

Hi everyone,

I'm a new member based in West Yorkshire.

I bought my first BMW in October - a black 2017 3-door M140i auto. I found this forum really useful when researching the cars - especially the sticky.

Thanks, nbr_uk
