Kerscher VS Perl...which one?

Post by GBC80 » Thu Jul 12, 2018 7:02 pm

Apologies in advance since i know this has been discussed previously but usually not between these two brands.
I want to add a front splitter (carbon, without any branding showing (like the Maxton) and one that follows the contours of the bumper).
Shortlist are these two:

https://www.perl-carbon.de/en/detail/index/sArticle/42

http://www.orange-tuning.de/shop/kersch ... 72753.html

Prices are similar, around 20 quid difference. Wondering if anyone has seen them both live and give your opinion which one is nicest or better quality? Some pics if anyone has them fitted would be great! Also, if anyone knows a cheaper place to buy them, that would be appreciated.

Future mods in time will be:
- Bilstein B12 (although I'm starting to get used to the suspension)
- M Sports Pedals (surely these cars should come with some stainless steel pedals?!)
- Rear M Performance spoiler and side fins

Thanks in advance

I have the kerscher and think it follows the lines well on the front bumper. You also get a very comprehensive fitting kit ( unless provided by the previous owner)

Haven’t seen the pearl one but they look very similar

I haven’t got any close ups but can get some over the weekend if you like

I thought it was a thread about high pressure washing brands and clearly know nothing about mods! Thanks for your time, apologies I can’t help!

*Radcliff and Maconie are now telling me ‘the world we live in today’ and clearly I need to put my slippers on and get ready for bed at 8pm!!

I know it doesn't answer your question, but I have just seen this and wondered if you'd seen it and disregarded it from your shortlist? I fear the budget will be in a different bracket though...

I’ve had a splitter from both brands. Kerscher is more sustainable in the long run in terms of stronger...
Now: 2006 130i with even more goodies ;)
Gone: 2008 116i with goodies :)

Wow an intake on that website is over a grand and gobsmacked a the price of an Akropovic nearly 3k - bet it sounds good though!

No splitters for 2 series

Thanks for that. Did you find the Perl being not robust enough?
