Not for me. Changing to the new model of the same car will mean the new car will be familiar too quickly. There's just not enough difference in it.

How did you manage to get extended warranty and service pack for the length of the PCP?

If you've only had the car 12-18 months on a PCP deal I would be surprised if you were at the point of breaking even with the finance settlement.

Previous owner took out a 5 year service pack and I got the car at two years - added a warranty to the PCP deal. My brother works for BMW and helped me out as my car had just been stolen, he sold me this for what it owed them so I was about even from day one.

Strangely he can’t match TRL on new deals, so another endorsement for his insane offers!

Other dealers can match TRL.

If you're covered for warranty, servicing and the car is a low mileage car, I see even less point in changing.

Taking on a 4 year PCP it'll be not far away from 3.5 years before you're in the same position as you are now.

Having gone from a pre-LCI M135i to a Shadow Edition 140, I can definitely say it's worth the change.
My wife still has her pre-LCI M135i and seeing the two side by side, I have to say the improvement in looks alone was worth it...

Also the new interior is miles nicer, from the wheel to the dials to iDrive 6 and the Pro Media I opted for.

But the biggest differences for me are the B58 and the suspension. The B58 has a bit more power, but noticeably more torque. (Mine dynoed at 348hp, 355lb.ft with only 1500 miles on the clock). It's too quiet as standard though, so needs an exhaust in my opinion.
The M140 suspension is night and day different to the pre-LCI M135i, adaptive to adaptive. A whole lot firmer, particularly at the rear, so the car handles a lot better, albeit sacrificing a little low speed comfort. A lot less roll and generally sharper feeling.
Shadow Edition w/719M wheels, Manual, Estoril Blue/Cognac, full Maxton bodykit, M Perf interior bits,
full Akrapovic, M4 LCAs, Quaife

As long as you're happy 'renting' forever, and the monthlies are the same, why not? Saves you paying out for MOT's & warranty, and probably for tyres & brakes too.

I'm a cash buyer, so I'll be sticking with my 2014 M135i for a while I think. Ive already suffered the initial depreciation, it's now becoming cheaper to own in real terms.
Same here, marco_polo. April 2014, 65k miles and love the car as much if not more than ever.
Current: M135i 5-dr Man, MG with Black, heated lumbar seats, sunroof, aftermarket HiFi, DMS remap, Bilstein B8, Eibach Pro-Kit, Quaife LSD
