Sam, did you notice much of an increase in volume when cold starting after fitting the BCS mid pipe?

Same question when you then fitted the JB+ today?

Thx

OK thanks. I heard an MPE fired up on cold start last Sunday and it was frighteningly loud. He had a JB4 installed, so I was curious to know if that may have contributed to the increased volume.

No idea if he chopped out any of the other boxes mind you.

The mpe is a serious waste of money in my eyes, i had one on my last 140, id say my bcs was actually a little louder but has a far nicer sound.

okay so a week odd of having the jb+ fitted...

i am very impressed, every one that has been in the car has mentioned how much harder it pulls,

one thing i have noticed is, driving the car in the same manor the dsc lamp flashes a lot more, even in 3rd/4th, so i tend to leave in sport + as apposed to just sport, other wise the car boggs down, you can hear the boost a fair bit more, so thats nice too.

I think the Pipercross possibly allows for a little bit more boost noise too.

I know what you mean about TC flashing and bogging the car down. it is quite intrusive in comfort and sport. Sport+ does solve it, but i'm always slightly worried about having one of these relatively low speed slides through a shop window or into a telegraph pole, that seems to happen.

To be honest the back end of the m140 is so tame compared to what im used too that doesnt worry me too much, i contastly find myself trying to make it slide 😂

Yeah, at higher speeds it seems fine. It's just once of twice at low speed the back end has unexpectedly decided to go walkabouts. I think it's possibly because at lower speed it's more likely to have a lot of steering lock on and when you get a huge dumping of torque it can break away.

Warning... picture heavy update....

So the front lip is on, according to the chaps at lightweight germany there are very few of these in the UK so makes the car a little exclusive i suppose any way...

So got the car up in the air..

Image

This made me laugh... looked like the 140 was trying to square up to dads velar 😂

Lip going on...

First photo of the car off the jacks before the springs settled..

And then went off for a drive to take a few photos of the car...

All in all im really happy with the look of the car now... for any one interested the exteriour bits are as follows..

Oem saphire black shaddow edition with orbit alloys

Maxton spoiler cap
Maxton side skirts
Lightweight front lip
Motech springs
15mm R and 12 mm F spacers
BMS slash cut exhaust tips

The quality of the light weight lip is fantastic well worth the £300+ price tag in my opinion, i like the maxton stuff but allways felt the front lip didnt look that great and wanted something diffrent.
