Power Socket Illumination

Post by bikerdave » Sun Apr 15, 2018 2:18 pm

Not had my 240 for long but recently noticed that the front power socket illumination ring doesn't light up :?

The socket itself works just fine so no issues there. I have attached a pic showing what I believe should be the 'waterfall' illumination bulb and this doesn't work either!! Knowing my luck it is a running change and I got the one with the deleted ring and no waterfall!!

Only a minor detail but after coming from Mini ownership and having 'both' for the front storage area I find this a little strange :|

Car is April 2017 build.

I was wondering the same thing about my car, the ring around the lighter looks like it should light up but doesn't , can any one confirm if there's lights up on a lci M135i.

I have a 2012 M135i and the other day I replaced the fuse for the 12V supply power socket as it was blown, ...after replacing the 20 Amp fuse the socket works for charging/running my Sat Nav etc but the clear plastic ring around it doesn't illuminate at all.

Tbh I was expecting it would but maybe there just isn't a light source in there at all as everything else works fine (ambient lights etc).

Tell me about it. I specced "smokers pack" on my new M240. Because in previous BM's it added a little LED above the ashtray. But now it doesn't and you only get a little pot with a lid for £25 :?
