Car insurance for m135i

Post by SFoz » Thu May 24, 2018 7:38 pm

What's the cheapest car insurance for my m135i, I'm with GoSkippy atm, I haven't tried Adrian Flux, I'm 21 paying £2000 at the moment.
Thanks

Nobody will be able to answer that question, ...insurance varies so much from person to person, location to location etc etc.

Your best bet is to try comparison websites like GoCompare firstly then try some of the insurance companies on here followed by ringing around getting more quotes from other insurance companies not listed on here to truly find the lowest offers available.

At your age you might want to try "black box" insurance or similar if you really want to bring your premium down although obviously your driving habits will be monitored then, you may have to pay for extra miles over specified amounts, have a curfew etc etc depending on what the insurance companies schedule is for the policy.

Either way I think if you're paying £2K for an M135i at 21 years old that's pretty good. You must live in a good area.

2k actually can’t be bad for a 21 year old in an M135. It totally confuses me however that my first beemer the same car was £300 ish and a few years down the line a middle age boring bloke at the same address with no changes in any circumstances is now on around £900

2k isn't that bad. I'm 24 w/ a London post code and no previous driving history in the UK (though I've been licensed to drive since 16 in another country). I pay £1500. I ended up going w/ a specialist insurer from my home country that actually insures in the UK. Do you have a parent, sibling, gf/bf, etc. that you can add as a named driver? I found when I was looking through UK insurers for quotes, that they were offering as much as £1k less to add my gf on the insurance (same age).

Im 21 and my insurance is due for renewal in a weeks times. The forum sponsers wont insure me but my current insurers Admiral Multicar quoted me 1.6k for my m240i and thats with my claim from last year august still not sorted out but paid out. I havent been able to find cheaper but occupation and multicar and loyalty discounts have helped reach that price.

Im based in central london by the way

After mine was stolen last year I was quoted £2650 from Elephant... (Previously paying £650) I lost all my no claims and it was a complete nightmare! I'm late 20's own my own house, no speeding fines or claims apart form the theft So £1500-£2000 seems pretty good!

Ouch that is a bit of bummer. Absolute shame because of some arsehole you have to pay the consequence.

Ridiculous
