Where did you guys buy your cables. Knowing my luck I’ll pick one that doesn’t work.

Right. Everything works. Good to map!! What octane map do I want. Cos I live in a rural area I use esso 98ron. Is it as simple as picking the 98 Ron map?

You really have no luck. I had this issue at first. Login and log out of your Google account and try again

ok so that took 12 hours. but its done!!

the wife went to Tesco brought a google play card so I could finally buy the map. the map flashed in about 4 minutes. I added a soft burble in sport mode. it all went well as soon as I started the car the noise suppressor kicked in and it was idling below 1000rpm almost instantly.

a bit of a rev on the driveway, even the wife said it seemed louder.

kicked her out, put in sport mode and went for a quick spin.

I was doing 20mph through my village. everytime I let off the burble made me giggle like a girl. as the revs build the turbo sound is much louder too.

pulling out of my village straight into a national speed limit road. all I need to say is HFS OMFG! my car is transformed. its f-ing rapid now. im gunna get it rolling roaded to see how much power its putting out now. but its definitely not 306 anymore.

another quick dme code check to see if the second cat sensor is still playing up. all clear there. wish I new about this before I went to the tuners.

fmic is next then a reflash.

wanna thank you all for your replies on this thread. really helpful

That's brilliant news. Did you just flash the stage 1 file on I assume?

See always go for a trusted solution. These generic laptop mappers or even some companies don't know what they're talking about.

Didn't your car already gargle in sport mode like most do?

I went for stage 2 as I have the high flow dp. I’m not gunna beat it to death till I get it rolling roaded and an intercooler though. Will post results when they can squeeze me in.

I’m in 2 minds about getting hold of the original tuning company to tell them there product is crap.

I knew I’d be down on power after fitting the cat. So I’m thinking there files didn’t write out the second sensor that’s why I didn’t get the power I was expecting. But hey lesson learnt now.

I just genuinely think they don't know what they're talking about but definitely datalog it to check everything. Mhd do a datalog addon that gives you gauges which I'd recommend. You can then keep an eye on boost pressure, fuelling, timing etc.
