Check your invoice rather than order sheet.

Actually I had a random conversation with a BMW dealer about another car that with LEDs they don’t actually need the headlight washer but was a requirement with xenons because any dirt on the light impacted the way xenons threw the light on the road???? Probably nonsense.

Anyway hope the numbers tally!
No thats true, all xenon lights should have washers, I think or it was an MOT failure if the washers aren't functioning.

Ah thanks for confirming. I’m marking that one up as the first time a dealer said something accurate!

I remember it being an option when I ordered my 140 in March 2017. Would never spec it though as it makes a mess of the front of the car which is annoying after you've just detailed it.
Yeah it was an option for me when I spec'd up in June 2017, but like you I didn't order for the same reason.

Personally, I've never thought them to be very effective. Just seem to cause a load of mess over the bonnet half the time. So as long as you're not paying for them, I'd not worry. Now, the mechanical wipers on my round BMW E30 headlights actually did work well .......
As did the wipers on my '79 Opel Manta, and '88 Lancia Y10 Turbo
Lancia Y10 Turbo - now that is a car I haven't head about for a long time.... I think I only ever saw one Y10 on the road and it probably wasn't a turbo.
A classic indeed :) my local dealer when I was a teenager was a lancia garage so were a fair number around my locality. The Y10 turbo in general was not common though, the uno turbo was the one. I went through a number of Lancia's in the late eighties and into the ninetees - Delta 1500 LX, Beta 2000 ES, Prisma 1600 LX and a Dedra 2.0 SE before they departed our shores. The Dedra had the wipers on the lights, I removed them - far too fussy looking :D memories

Unfortunately the headlight wipers on my Lada Niva jeep were pants

Never knew this, so i have a M240i with Xenons I never noticed it has headlamp washers, i take they pop out of the bumper!?

Then again i did not realise you could turn off the traction in comfort mode, until a couple of days ago!!

I ordered my m240i back in June 2017 with adaptive LEDs and I am almost certain headlamp washers were an option, I remember discussing it with the rep. OP.......Let me guess....they just reduced your discount by the amount of what the option cost so the bar stewards are still charging you for it? That is exactly what happened to me. I ordered Apple Carplay and later discovered it had not been fitted. They simply reduced my discount by £234.99 which was the cost of Carplay so I was still being charged. Mate, if they are indeed charging you then it's time to get tough here as they have mis sold the car. It took a bit of feet stamping but I ended up with a free M Performance body kit (minus carbon spoiler) out of my dealer. Tell them you want the car that you ordered and are being charged for...then see what they offer.

The dealer has replied with the car comes with led headlights so the washers are not needed.
That’s fine but I have been charged for them £195 it’s on the order.
So I’m asking for that to be refunded and my fiancé payments reduced also just noticed they charged me £90 for a tank of fuel.
Seeing it only came with 1/4 tank and I don’t think you can get £90 in the tank I think there taking the p*ss.
Will keep you all updated.
Apart from that loving the car

They sound like utter shysters to me, my bloodied mindness would be saying they can stick the car where the sun don't shine!

So where has the money gone on your paperwork? I assume that headlamp washers are on the order form but not on the invoice given at point of collection? Like I said, mine was missing Apple CarPlay, it was on the order form but not the invoice.....but the bottom ££££ figure was still the same. I went through my paperwork and I noticed the discount was different...by £234.99 so rather than reduce what I owe, they simply reduced my discount to keep the finance figures the same....there was literally steam coming from my ears.
Get in touch with BMW finance for advice because they are your contractual partner....technically they own the car and will want to know if there has been mis selling. I threatened my dealer with trading standards as what they did was fraudulent, I gave them two choices, a new car or m performance kit...they picked the latter.

Say very politely to them that the car isn't as ordered and unless they can supply exactly as ordered you are rejecting the car, then watch them jump a mile. You can happily be bluffing as the worst off you will be is with the car you want which cost you £257.50(please excuse my mental maths late at night....) more (~0.65%) than it should have (£190 for the washers + 0.75 of a very expensive £90 fuel tank full).
