Sports cat & Lambda Spacer

Post by Andrew1810 » Thu Oct 18, 2018 10:04 am

I am having a Cobra sports cat fitted tomorrow, it has come with 2 lambda spacers, however I am running a JB4 also so I am not worried about an eml.

Would it be better to install with spacers to ensure the o2 sensor is not affecting afr or without for it to still be able to ? Also will a spacer be needed on both ?

Are the supplied lambda spacer straight or elbows ?

If straight don't fit as space is tight and buy/use 90 deg elbow type - you only need 1 spacer on 2nd O2 sensor ie furthest from turbo flange - with outlet pointing towards front of the car else O2 cable won't reach if pointing towards the rear of the car.

They are 90 degree ones so that's fine there, and thank you for the tip about which way it should be facing, I'll just fit the one closest to the flex joint then. Wonder why they supplied 2 :?

Use the original clamps. There’s a metal gasket on one end. I forget what end though. Use a flat end screwdriver to bend back tabs all the way round. Then retap into place on new dp.
