436M Ferric Grey colour code

Post by Hawaii-Five-O » Fri Oct 19, 2018 1:05 pm

I'm after touch up paint for my 436M alloy wheels. I called the parts department at my local BMW dealer, however they told me they don't have touch up paint and no product code was listed on their system. How strange?!

So, I've had a look online and found this:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-M-Sport- ... 100623.m-1

Could some kind soul tell me if this will be okay to touch up some tiny marks on my alloys?

Thanks

There are 2 shades of ferric grey

Ferric Grey A80
Ferric Grey II B55

I believe B55 is whats used on the Mx40i

Is this the code for the mirror covers as well?

Don’t know, BUT, I have the original Ferric Grey I 388 alloys as winter wheels, they are lighter than the Ferric Grey II M436 alloys, and I would say they are a better match to the mirror caps and bumper inserts tbh.

I use this for touch up on the Ferric Grey II B55. Good quality paint exact match. Don't use A80 I bought some from Cotswolds on here after them saying it was the right one for my car and it is way too light! Later found out there was two different shades.
This is the one I've used and a few others I know. Great stuff.
