Mines also a PCP but all the paper work dropped thru the door stating my first payment is on xx of March... I know its very much first world problems but its really taken the shine off picking up a new car. Hey ho.

Be interesting to hear what they say. Spoke to the guy on Facebook today and he said he only ordered his two weeks ago. I ordered mine about three weeks ago. Makes me wonder if his dealership just didn’t know about the stop (or of his was already there).

Stratstone say the release is "imminent" and that other dealers have "jumped the gun" on this basis...

Think this is what happens when a Lancastrian ventures over to Yorkshire! If I hear anything else tomorrow I'll update and if anyone else hears anything be good to know.

I spoke to BMW UK this morning. All I got back is “your car is on a delivery stop. We dont know when it’ll be released, but it’ll be worth the wait”.

Yeah thanks for that.

If it's any consolidation, get a formal complaint in. I've had acknowledgement so far that it's not acceptable and I've managed to get a month payment as a gesture of goodwill...

I'm also amazed at the arrogance of BM too

Pineapple Chunx, how did you go about the official complaint method? was it with your dealer or direct with BMW UK?

Sent my complaint to BMW customer services and just expressed my displeasure with Stratstone.

Hi,

Was supposed to have picked mine up on the 31st of January. Absolutely no update as of when the car will be released.

Called yesterday and update was that some models have been released. Compensation will be given dependent on wait I have been told.

Also, it's not a critical safety issue. The screws that hold rear light in place have been lubricated with something that could carrode plastic. All very frustrating!
